Synopsis:

Reed owns a flower store, one morning he proposes his girlfriend Morley and surprises everybody for the acceptance. His best friend, Julia is dating a gorgeous doctor, Harrison Copeland, but leave her in valentine's day because Harrison has business to do in San Fransisco, eventually Reed finds out that Harrison is a married man.
Julia's student Edison is busy preparing valentine card and ordering a rose bouquet to his special valentine. Edison's grandparents, Edgar and Estelle are a happy couple before Estelle finally opens up her past affair.
Grace is Edison's babysitter, who plan to make love for the first time with her boyfriend, Michael. They plan to do it in Grace's house since her parents are out of town but after Michael arrives and prepare everything, Grace's mother comes home and ruin their plan.

Jason is a guy next door type that has a one nightstand with his co worker, Liz, whom actually also work as an adult phone operator. They both working to Paula Thompson, a lady of confident and hate valentine day.

Kelvin Moore is an avid sport reporter but on valentine's day, his boss make him do valentine's interviews. Between interviewing couples, he skips to interviewing Sean Jackson, famous football player which has not decides his future carrier. Kelvin meets devastated single Kara, Sean's publisher, and due to her lack of romance story, she hates valentine and prepare "I hate valentine" party.

Capt. Kate Hazeltine and Holden meet on flight in their way back to California. Kate only has one night to meet her special guy and Holden keep tries to get to know her.
Each couple has their own problem in valentine's day, related to break ups, betrayal, friendships, and finding true love and true self.

Comments:

At first, i was surprised to see so many famous faces in the film. And since everybody is important, you really don't know who is the central of the story. Each person has their own story line, so it's amazing to see them all in one movie and don't make you confuse with the whole chaos in it. The movie was great and to gather all those A-list stars are not an easy job, so i think the director has made a great job. Everybody is important in the movie. Awesome ^_^

• Sam Worthington, Jake Gyllenhaal and Orlando Bloom all turned down the role of Holden. Worthington also turned down the role of Sean Jackson
• Felicia has the number 13 drawn on her hand it's actually Swift's lucky number.

Synopsis:

Toby Jugg is being disabled after an enemy plane shot his plane. He is sent to a eerie hospital by his aunt, Julia (and his lover) so he can have better treatments. Toby starts to see weird things and suspect his doctor uses strange methods to his patients so he refuses to trust the doctor. Things get harder after Toby sees one of hospital's patients dead body. Toby's afraid and no one to talk to, Julia never reply his mails, but then he finds out that all Julia's mail are being held by Dr. Burns. With Julia stays in the hospital, Toby doesn't feel any better nor trust anyone.

Comments:

Robert seriously need to find a better plotted movie after breaking dawn, and that means soon. This movie is boring. Not spooky or thrilling (i think it meant to be thrilling and spooky), and i have no idea what is the plot of the movie. Why Toby can't trust anyone? What means thing that Dr. Burns did other than Toby thinks he's suspicious? And the ending? For God sake, how can somebody is almost killed and not even scream? Sigh...no good

REMEMBER ME

Synopsis:

Life is limited and you need to do things you should do no matter how insignificant it may seems. Tyler Hawkins is a rebellious, poetic, and synical young man. Being close with his mother and sister, Caroline, he has a strained relationship with his father, Charles, since a tragedy happened and took his brother, Michael, life. One day Tyler's housemate Adrian takes him to a local bar where they ended being involved in to a fight with some strangers. Due to insulting a police officer, Tyler is sent to jail. Adrian calls Tyler's father and have them out of jail. Feeling angry, Tyler rush to Charles' office, said he never ask him to bail him out and promise to pay the expense.

Adrian finds out that the police officer that arrested them has a daughter and insists that Tyler introduce himself to her. On their second date, Ally fell has a terrible hangover and fell asleep in Tyler’s room, this lead to Ally’s disagreement with her father, she left her home and stay at Tyler’s apartment. On his birthday, Tyler let his father arrange diner in exchange to have him present in Caroline, his sister, exhibition. Just as the diner finished, he got a phone call and leave, tough he promises to attend Caroline exhibition, he never shows up. Caroline feel dejected and assured that his father dislike her, Tyler is angry because their father can’t keep his promise. Meanwhile, Ally is finally finds out that Tyler first intention to get close to her due to a bet, and leave him madly.

Comments:

I think this film portrayed many families in reality. Lots of children have problems with their parents and sometimes the problem grows bigger as the time goes by. And yes, to be supported with your family means a lot especially in rough times. You don't need to squeeze your eyebrows to see the movie, it's sweet and understandable. I love Robert Pattinson but my favorite guy in the movie is Pierce Brosnan ^_^, i see many real dads just like him in the film.

Fun facts:

• During breaks while doing a street scene, Robert Pattinson was injured as he tried to flee from fans and paparazzi. He did not watch where he was going and ran into a parked cab. His injuries were not major or life-threatening (ffiuh..)
• The movie obviously takes place in summer 2001, but in one scene, there is a Ford cargo van that did not come out until 2009.
• At the beginning of the movie Ally is given a lift to college by her father. When she leaves the house she is in a red top but when she gets out of the car it is khaki.

Synopsis:

A series of disappearance haunts Seattle and creeps to small city of Forks. Closer to her graduation day, Bella has lots in her mind. She begins to feel sad to realize that she's about to leave everything when she's changed. Edward tries to buy some time so Bella could stay human longer, and asks Bella to marry him if she insists him to change her. And tough Edward's condition makes her reluctant, Bella has no other way but accepts.
While having lunch, Alice is suddenly froze so Bella thinks she probably sees something regarding the Volturi, but Edward keeps saying nothing's wrong and remind Bella that she has an open ticket that need to use to visit her mom in Jacksonville.
While Edward and Bella away, the Cullens are preparing to catch Victoria, with Alice's vision, they try to intercept Victoria's way but failled when she disappears in Quileute territory and pushed to back away by several werewolf.

Bella and Jacob ride on motorcycle and left Edward worried by the time she comes back from Jacksonville, Jacob is furious to know that Bella is about to change as a vampire after graduation and wish Bella to die rather than being a vampire, this hurts Bella but Jacob determines to make Bella loves him since he believes that he suits Bella better than Edward.
The graduation is coming, Bella, Edward, and Alice are graduating, that's when Edward finds that there's a stranger coming to Bella's house and stole her belongings and it bothers Edward, so he's taking Bella to meet his family. Jasper and Emmett lost the trail of the smell and have no idea who is the intruder, Bella suggests Volturi but Alice said she will know if the Volturi make their movement.

Fears for Bella's safety, Edward tells her not to meet Jacob again, but Bella insists that the whole pack of werewolf would never harm her, so she keeps visiting Jacob, and during one of the visits, Jacob confess his love to Bella and kiss her. Being real mad, Bella punches him and broke her fingers that almost made Edward kills Jacob if Charlie's not show up.
meanwhile Alice is foreseeing an army of newborn vampire is coming to Forks that leads an alliance between the Cullens and Quiluete's werewolves.

Comments:

I can say i'm a huge fans of twilight saga, but somehow, this movie failed me. I can't see the big chemistry between Bella and Edward tough there were lot's of kisses, but still you can't feel the passion as you feel it when you read the book. And halo! Bella shouldn't be that tough and brave! Well, she's tough and brave but in a timid way, after all she's just human! But this movie's version Bella is waay tougher, like she's the vampire herself.
Anyway, i love Dakota Fanning, she's mean, i felt real crept by seeing her talking. The action parts were good, that's the part that made me stop complaint up until the end of the movie. I can't say this movie is as good as the book, cause it's not. Sigh...

Fun facts:

• During the scene where the Cullens are watching the news, the woman says "reporting live". She's in Seattle and it's night time there but at the Cullens' house we can see it's day time (through the window). Forks and Seattle are in the same time zone, therefore it should be the same time of the day in both places.
• It's mentioned a couple times that Riley (as a human) has been missing for over a year. But when Charlie is looking at the Missing Persons flyer, it says Riley was last seen in May 2010.
• It was revealed by Taylor Lautner in an interview that the censors required that the wolves have no genitalia whenever they appear on screen.
• Robert Pattinson refused to let his eyebrows be plucked/waxed down as they had been in the previous two films

Synopsis:

Henry De Tamble is a time traveler; having a genetic disorder which caused him to travel through time unwillingly, to the past and the future. He begins to travel at 5 while driving with his mom just before a crash happened, which eventually kills his mother. Henry meets his future wife Claire, when she’s only 6.

Henry and Claire meet at the library when Henry is 28 and Claire is 20, this present Henry has no idea who Claire is, since the one that met Claire in her childhood was older Henry, so Claire tells him the story. Soon, they get married and Henry is suddenly disappearing before the ceremony, but the older Henry shows up. The couple later finds up that Claire is having trouble carrying a pregnancy due to Henry’s gene disorder. After six miscarriages, Alba is born. Unlike her father, Alba can control where she wanted to go. Before Alba born, Henry is time travelling to the future and meet 5 year old Alba, and finds that he’ll die at 43.

Comments:

I like to book very much. It’s the kind of romance book that you won’t like to put off before it finishes ^_^. Anyway, the film was not that fascinating. Don’t get me wrong, I love drama, and mostly I watch drama, but when I saw this film, I just feel very bored. They adapted mostly from the book, but somehow it felt plain and boring. The relationship between Henry and Claire was not as strong as the book.. Oh well, anyway, it is hard to make a film from a bestseller book, mostly I’ll be disappointed, so I’ll just deal with that.

Synopsis:

On Bella's 18th birthday, she never gives up hope to change her mortality to immortality but Edward is resisted. The birthday party planned carefully by Alice is turning into disaster when Bella accidentally cut her finger and shed a drop of blood, Jasper is gone mad and attack Bella, Edward in attempt to save her, push Bella backward and crashed on a glassed desk and caused her more injuries and more blood. Only Carlisle to remain calm, the other Cullens are move out to avoid Bella's blood smell.

The next day, Edward asks Bella for a walk, and suddenly he said that they will move from Forks. Bella said that she needs a reason for Charlie, but Edward said that she stays. He and his family will leave Forks forever. He promises Bella that he will never show up in front of Bella soon, she will forget everything about him, and for Charlie's sake he wants Bella to take care of herself and avoid troubles. Edward's gone as soon as he finishes speaking, Bella is trying to keep pace but when the night comes, she stumbles and just lays down, heart broken.

For months Bella is grieving, yelling in her sleeps and makes her dad, worried. Charlie than decides to send Bella back to her mother in Jacksonville, but Bella refuses and said she will have a girls night out with Jessica. while walking after watch a movie with Jessica, Bella sees a bunch of guys with motorcycle, when Bella walks nearer, she's surpraised to see Edward's reflection which asks her to move back.

Bella than finds a perscription of her devastating loss, every danger made her sees and hears Edward again. So she asks Jacob help to repair broken motorcycles that she found.
Bella finds comfort in Jacob, he's a young and happy teen. They get along well until one day Jacob is suddenly avoid her. Bella desperately needs to make up her friendship with Jacob but Jacob is backed away. Even he join what he called Sam's pack which he distates earlier.

With Jacob's absent Bella begins to feel the big hole in her chest again, and she decides to find the prairie once Edward and her visited. Laurent, one of the vampire, shows up. He knows that The Cullen is away from Forks and aware that nobody protects Bella. He also said that Victoria maybe furious if he kills Bella now, but he can't resist to Bella's appealling blood smell. Before Laurent does anything, giant wolves appear, run after the frightened vampire.

Comments:

I lost track of time to wait the movie, it's soooo long! Sigh. Though i know the story (and still very much remember tough i stop read the novel months ago T_T), i still want to see the film ^_^. But i can say i'm not to satisfied. One: the make up. Oh God, my gorgeous Rob looks extremely weird. Most of the scene, the white features are just too much. Come on guys, he's originally white and pale, why is it hard to make his features look a bit natural? Aro is just the same. Dakota looks great, they should use her make up artist, hmpppffh!
Second, it's kind of different than the book, well maybe they have reasons, but i just can't stand to see what they did to Edward! They made his character into weak and helpless. Arrrggh!
If you read the book, the sadness is devastating but you don't see it in the movie. Bella should be extra sad to be left behind. And the last scene, where a werewolf and a vampire stand face to face with Bella in between, Edward should be looked more..fierce. Afterall, a vampire hates werewolf right?

Synopsis:

Margaret Tate (Bullock) is a powerful senior editor in a big publishing company, being very strict and seems heartless made her, a subject of hate to her staffs. Andrew Paxton (Reynolds) is Margaret's assistant and for 3 years is working under pressure and has little chance to being promoted. Margaret, a Canadian, almost being departed due to violation against immigration terms that said she can't leave the country before her status of citizenship is approved. She introduces Andrew as her fiance to deceive the immigration officer.
Andrew introduces Margaret to his family and things grow beyond their plan. The Paxtons love Margaret and they even propose to celebrate the couple wedding as soon as possible. To see Andrew and his family, Margaret starts to fall for him.

Comments:

Just like any other Sandra Bullock's romantic drama, this film has the same quality. It's funny and cute (i don't know any other word to say it T_T). The story runs smoothly, but i think it's too fast to make Margaret and Andrew fall in love in 4 days, it's weird, i guess you can not make people that hate you, fall in love with you with in 4 days, too fast and almost impossible. And Ryan Reynolds' character seems not that in to Bullock's character. They don't have any chemistry for sure.

Synopsis:

Connor Mead (Mc Conaughey) is a famous photographer and a womanizing bachelor. Hook up and broke up with girls so easily and say he doesn't believe in love. Attends his brother, Paulie (Meyer) wedding rehearsal, Conner meets his old flame, Jenny Perotti. He also tries to confince his brother that he make a huge mistake by getting married. Being alone in a restroom, his dead uncle, Wayne Mead (Douglas), showed up and warns him that his way of life will do no good to him in the future, and said he will be visited by 3 ghosts whom will bring him to his past and future. Thinking that he might has weird dream, the second ghost shows up, his first relationship Allison Vandermeesh and brings him back to his childhood up to his recent days.
Connor causes a lot of mess, starts with his cynical comments during family dinner, ruins the wedding cake, and ultimately destroys his brother relationship by accidentally said Paulie had slept with one of the bridesmaid.

Comments:

For a drama film, it is quite entertaining ^_^. That kind of sweet and romantic drama, but still i found it quite amusing. A generic story but hey i love drama so i bear with that, it feels real and not too exaggerate . Matthew Mc Conaughey plays great role as a womanizer, with texas accent ho ho, some girls will say that sexy ^_^, but his accent did bother me, if The Meads are family, so his accent is awkward, i mean Michael Douglas and Breckin Meyer as his uncle and brother have no accent. Anyway, if you need a light movie, good laugh, so this probably a good choice

• Christa B Allen who plays teenage Jenny, also starred in 13 Going on 30 (2004), in which she played a teenage version of Jennifer Garner's character as well.
• During the rehearsal dinner when Connor Mead receives a phone call, he talks into his phone upside down.
• The bride's father is referred to as "Sarge" because he's a Sargent Major in the Marine Corps, but "Sarge" is an Army or Air Force term - Marines are very insulted by it.

Synopsis:

Max Brogan Works for Immigration and Customs enforcement in Los Angeles. Having a raid in a textile company, one of the illegal immigrant Mireya Sanchez begs him to help her pass some money and writes him the address . Brogan refuses to help and throws the address. Unable to sleep due to feels guilty, Brogan tries to find the paper and called his office to meet Sanchez but he fails. Brogan came to the address and paid the money to a lady whom has, Sanchez’ son. He cleans the boy and brings him back to his family in Mexico and promise, the sanchez he would try his best to find Mireya.

Gavin Kossef, a jewish, teaches in jewish school illegally, and tries so bad to get the work. He persuades his mom to finds a rabbi to gives him a good religious record so that he can get the job in the school. He also tries very hard to learn jew language. Upon immigration interview, his interviewer ask him to cast a prayer in Hebrew, since Kossef said he is a good jewish, a religious person, and also teaching in a jewish school, the interviewer also asks a rabbi to witness if his cast is correct.

Taslima Jahangir, a Palestinian girl writes about her sympathy to 9/11 terrorists, earns mockery amongst her classmates. And by the end of the day, FBI shows up, asking her about her writing and they also finds out that Jahangir and her parents are illegal immigrants, and even though two Jahangir’s siblings are Americans, since they were born in America, they still face deportation due to Jahangir’s act. Denise Frankel tries to speak with the FBI and they gives her 3 options, to deport all Jahangirfamily, or just Taslima and her parents, or Taslima and one parent and they will not rise the case.

Hamid Baraheri, Brogan’s partner, arab descendant whose father earns naturalization. Being proud American citizen, the family outcast the youngest, Sarah and also the one and the only family member earns her citizenship by birth, due to her inappropriate behavior. One day sarah is found death, shot on the forehead with her married boyfriend.

Denise Frankel, an immigration defense attorney works on an African little girls case. After being put in juvenile prison for almost 23 months, she still can’t find anyone to adopt the girl, and suggest to her husband, Cole, to adopt the girl.

Claire Shepard, an Australian and always dreams to be an actress in the US. In trying to get her green card, she stumbles in Cole Frankel's trap whom using her as his lust satisfaction as payment of her immigration status.

Yong Kim's family from Korea have work very hard to get their neutralization as US citizens and Yong almost jeopardize his family struggle by joining a gang and involving in a store robbery.

Comments:

The movie was great! I heard lot of bad things when you are illegal citizen, not only in the US but everywhere in this planet, being illegal immigrants will never be easy. The film showed us, people who believe in american dreams and willing to take anything to get it. Some lose their live and the other lose their freedom. But i also see american people paranoia, Indonesian also subject to many terrorist act but you will never see people getting deported just because he writes an essay about terrorism, and he's under age. What would an under age teen understand about law? That's too much, and yes i believe it happens in the US, especially in the past, in you know who, presidential time. The paranoia that make people hate each other.

Synopsis:

Walter is a wrestler whom join a national team before he goes back to his town to attend trial of his sister murder. In a counsellings season, Walter met Linda whose husband is murdered and has a deaf son, Clay. Walter helps Clay when he's being abused and pointing a gun to his abuser, then he helps Clay to focus his anger to healthier way, wrestling. Along with the closeness between Linda and Walter, Clay also put some respect to Walter but this leads to critical moment when Clay witness Walter threatens a man whom he suspects as the killer of his sister, Clay then decides to kill the man for Walter

Comments:

I always see Ashton Kutcher as a funny man, once only i saw him play in a serious film, Butterfly Effect and i liked it. But then so he played lots of comedy, hmm...or else i am the one miss his serious film? Anyway, he looks different, i loved to see Walter which was an awkward guy and lived a healthy live, somehow i found it cute ^_^. But frankly, nothing special about the film. At first i didn't even understand why Walter sit in a court and seemed very angry. Hi hi i missed that scene. They focused on relationship between Walter and Linda and how they cope the trauma they had in live and it felt real, but too real so i found it boring. A movie should be have more intrigues right? So the audience feel it thrilling and they willing to see again and again.

Synopsis:

In one normal day in a dine, Charlie Archenault (Whitaker) is trying to called a busy waiter, Carly (Beckinsale) to order something. Not so far Annie Hagen (Fanning) is having breakfast with her friend, Jimmy Jasperson (Hutcherson) and her father, Anton Hagen.
Dr. Laraby is walking out of the dine after having his coffee, on his way out a guy come in and he helps him to hold the door. Suddenly the stranger pull a gun and shoot a guy near him, the shoot freezed everybody on his place accept Annie whom quickly hide under the desk and pull Jimmy with him. The shooter shoot another 2 men before shoot himself.
The victims' lives are changing after the shooting, each person tries to coupe their trauma in their on way.

Comments:

Frankly, i never heard any about this film before, i just accidently got it. I always like Dakota Fanning's film, and now i just realize that she played mostly, the same charachter. Troubled girl, with calm and cool personality. Do tell me if she plays another role which is not mention above ^_^. For me, the movie is not that good. Some people deal their trauma in bizzare ways, well that's what i got from the movie. Apart from that, this is the kind of boring movie, flat from the start till the end. It is said that the movie is based on a novel called Winged Creatures, maybe i should read the novel, since not many novels look good on screen.

CHANGELING

Synopsis:

In 1928, Walter Collins (Gattlin Griffith) son of a single mother, Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie) was found missing. Rev. Gustav Briegleb (Malkovich) publicizes Christine's plight and rails against the LAPD for its incompetence, corruption and the extrajudical punishment. After 5 months, LAPD informs Catherine that her son is found. But at the reunited day, Catherine finds out that the boy is not Walter. Capt. Jones (Jeffrey Donovan) assured her that the boy is Walter and to bring him home on trial basis.

Catherine confronts Jones with the difference appearance and insists him to keep looking for her missing son, Jones then sends a doctor. The doctor explains the height difference and circumcision of Walter and the boy, through his medical theory. Rev. Berglieb (John Malkovich) meets Catherine and warn her that LAPD is trying to dicredit her. Catherine meets Walter's dentist and teacher and they support her by agreeing that the boy is not Walter. After speaking to reporters, states that she has proves that the found boy is not Walter, Jones orders to put Christine to phychopathic ward in county hospital. While in the hospital Catherine finds many women being kept in the asylum due to police problem.

Ybarra (Michael Kelly) headed to Wineville to arrange deportation of 15 year old Canadian boy, Stanford Clark, later Stanford confests that he was being forced by his uncle Gordon Northcott to kidnap and murder 20 children. Ybarra gives him several photos and ask Stanford to identify his victims among the missing children, then he takes Stanford back to Wineville and the boy shows him where he burried the children's body.
Rev. Briegleb secures Catherine's relase by showing The Wineville slaughter and Walter possibly one of the victim. The police capture Northcott at his sister's house in Canada.

I have to admit this is the best film i saw ^_^, very touching and thrilling. Moreover this is a true story, i read that Walter Collins was never found. A very emotional film, and a different side of Angelina's acting. I encourage you to watch this movie!

• The film is shipped to some theaters under the name "Nomad"
• Clint Eastwood agreed to direct the same afternoon he read the script.
• Some scenes were filmed at a train station in San Bernardino during the 2007 California brush fires. The whole set was thick with fire smoke.

Synopsis:

Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) have been best friend since 6 years old. Both have dreamed to have a fantastic June wedding party at the Plaza. Then one day, Fletcher, Emma's boy friend proposes her, a few days later Daniel, Liv's boyfriend, proposes Liv. The best friends meet Marion St Claire, the best wedding planner in town, together. The time slot for June wedding party at the plaza is limited, Liv takes June 6th and Emma takes June 27th, but Marion's assistant misread and put Emma and Liv's wedding at the same day.

Emma and Liv try to persuade the other bride to exchange the date, but their struggle comes to no avail, and this lead to another agreement. Emma and Liv agree to do nothing before one of them change her date, Liv hopes Emma will change the date, since she wants her as her maid oh honour and Emma also hopes the same. Then Emma decides that Liv should let her have the date since she has been let her have anything she wants for 20 years of their friendship. Emma send announcement email to all her friends that she will get marry at 6th. The announcement starts a clash. Emma and Liv try to mess other's party plan, they do anything to ruin their rival's party.

Comments:

This movie actually quite entertaining, to see 2 girls with highly different character that stay as best friends for decades, was amazing. In reality, it hard to find such friend, and even harder to keep ^_^. But i hate to see the end, it's way far from what i have imagined, well this movie is predictable but the end is not, and it sucks. Why suddenly Fletcher and Emma split? They don't show enough conflicts between them, and why should Emma marry Liv's brother instead? It is just not make any sense, too much. Well, but apart from nasty ending, this film is nice. It taught you to adjust, to be more understanding, and to less selfish when it comes to friendship ^_^
Moral of the story? Keep your girlfriends no matter what, they keep you sane and still be with you even if your love one is not ^_^

Fun facts:

• Earlier in the film, Emma wears a Helen Ficalora charm necklace with the initial "A" for Anne. Later in the movie it has switched to "E" for Emma.
• When Liv and Emma find the box with the ring for Liv, they are fighting for it to open it. During this fighting scene the bow gets opened, but after the fighting it is closed correctly again.
• During a scene in which their characters slap each other Kate accidentally hit Anne straight in the face very hard. Kate hit her with a big diamond ring on her finger, but she kept shooting the scenes in pain. Kate later found Anne sitting in a chair with a ice-pack on her face.

Synopsis:

Lyla Novacek (Lyla Novacek) is a talented young cellist and Louis Connelly (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a talented singer and guitarist meet on the top of Lyla' friend apartment, listen to "moondance" play by some street performance. They spend one romantic night and seperate in the morning. The two have never met again. Lyla then become pregnant, her father does not approve since he thinks Lyla will have a great career await. Lyla runs away and hit by a car, by the time she opens her eyes, her father tell her that her baby was died.

Eleven years later, an orphan kid name Evan Taylor lives with strong faith that as long as he follows music he hears, he will reunite with his parents again. This faith takes him to New York, where he meet Wizard (Robin Williams), whom gathering homeless children and teach them to perform in the street for money. One morning, Evan admires Arthur's, one of the children, guitar. He touches it, feel the sound and by all sudden he plays it and produce a remarkable sound. Wizard soon realize that Evan is a music genius. Wizard gives a new name, August Rush, and ask Evan to never tell anybody his real name.

Meanwhile, Lyla is now a music teacher and has surrender her music career. One day the hospital calls her, her father is very ill and he confesses to Lyla that her son is alive and has been sent to an orphanage 11 years ago. Lyla goes to Social Department in New York, to find out about her son. She then decides to rejoin New York Philharmonic, in the same time Louise also reunite with his bandmates.

Due to a police reid, August is separated from Wizard, and by following the music he hears, August stop in a church where a choir is in a rehearsal. He meets Hope, and while left him for school with her piano, August finds a way to write notes and feels the room with his music compostion. Knowing his natural talent, rev. James sends him to Julliard School. August brilliant talent interest the Dean, and decides that they will play August composition in the next New York Phillharmonic in Central Park. But in a rehearsal, Wizzard interupt by saying that he is August father, he takes August away back to the street. Meanwhile, Lyla has found her son identity and decides to resume her career, she was choosen to play in the same concert.

Louise which received news that Lyla has been married, fly back to New York from Chicago and plays with his former band again, accidently he meets August and they play together without recognize one another. In the night before the orchestra, August decides to run from wizard, he make it there before his turn. While conducting, Lyla comes back to the stage driven by the music her son composed, Louise also comes after reading Lyla's name.

Comments:

Frankly, i never heard a thing about this film. I just accidently pick it up on my shopping day ^_^, and i'm thankful for that! The movie was just great! Pure drama but very touching and enchanting ha ha, no kidding. This is good movie. I recommend it, wheather you want to have some fun, some peace, or some treat! Just pick up your ticket and go see them ^_^

• In Brazil, the movie is titled "The Sound of the Heart".
• Lyla and Louis do not look older after 11 years.
• The guitar that Louis is playing in the 1994 scenes appears to be a Gibson CS-336F model which was not manufactured by Gibson until 2002.

Years after, Nottingham Hotel now is a well known hotel, Skeeter Bronson never has his change to run the hotel, but he survives for almost 25 years as a janitor and never lose his hope to be a hotel manager someday. One day Barry Nottingham announces that he will open new hotel and appoints Kendall to manage the new hotel and left Skeeter disappoints once again.
While babysitting his niece and nephew, Skeeter tells them a bedtime story, and magically, the story comes true. He has the opportunity to show his ability for manager position, more bedtime stories come true but other unexpected things are coming.

Comments:

Just like other Adam Sandler's movies, Bedtime Stories was the same. Funny and light. It tells you that sometimes tales stories comes to reality, though not always a happy ending. A safe family movie, and quite entertaining. Though for me the film was quiet boring, but this is a family movie, you still having fun watch it together ^_^

• The bulldog shown in the movie is 'Adam Sandler''s beloved pet, Meatball.
• In the scene where Skeeter first spends the night with the kids, Jill and the kids are making signs. Bobbi is working on first the C is not colored in. Paris, je t'aime

During my plain weekends, my sister frequently surprised me with her movie collections. Some of them were hard to understand and the other were just not my favorites. But mostly i watched them T_T hiyaaaa, i'm a movie freak remember? Hikss...

Anyway, during her passion to french (she really is working hard to manage french, ffiuh!). I found this unusual movie. Gee, i don't even know how to spell it right *-*

Ok, so, Paris Je t'aime, was one film contained several short films. And it told you lots of kind of love. I had my favorites but i wouldn't say they were easy to understand, hmm...

The first cut was telling us about a guy whom has almost everything, not that everything but normal things you should have when you're grown up and mature. But he finds himself lonely, until one day he helps a fainted woman and their story begin afterwards.
The other cut was telling us about a single mother, and life simply very ironic to her, while she struggles hard to leave her infants, put her only child in a nursery, she has to take care other people baby.
My favorite was, the married couple. The husband was tired and bored with his marriage, and prepare to divorce his wife by asking her to meet in a cafe. But just before he starts to say anything, she cried, and her husband almost think that the wife has already known that he was about devorcing her. But then he realized that the wife was dying to cancer. To know that his wife life was very short, he decided to give her sweet memories. He leaved his mistress, supported and loved his wife more, and by things, at first, ment to be a simple last give, the husband felt in love again with his wife and they have a loving life and by the time the wife past away, the husband was still found himself sad to meet women in red coat, just like what the wife used to use.

I think i need to watch it again sometimes, when i need to realize that there are many kinds of love, many sides of love, sometimes a happy ending, sometimes in the other hand ^_^

Synopsis:

Elder Daisy is on her bed in a hospital with her daughter Caroline as hurricane Katrina approaches in 2005. She then asks Caroline to read aloud a dairy written by Benjamin Button.

Benjamin Button was born in early 1900, abandon by his father since he was a baby whom born like 80 years old guy, full of wrinkle, almost blind and deaf. His father, Thomas Button, left him in a nursing home and was found by a couple Queenie and Tizzy.
While Benjamin growing up, he physically growing younger. At early 30, still appearing at his seventies, Benjamin met Daisy, whose grandmother lives in the nursing home. They play together and listen to daisy's grandmother read from a storybook.

A few years later, Benjamin met Captain Mike, and work in a tug boat. The captain also brings him to a brothel for the first time, and Benjamin met his father, Thomas, though he never reveals that he is Benjamin's father. Later, Benjamin leaves New Orleans with the tug boat crew.
In Russia, Benjamin meets a British woman, Elizabeth Abbot, and falls in love with her. They have a short affair before Elizabeth leaves Benjamin.

Benjamin gets caught up in World War II when Captain Mike's boat and crew are enlisted by the United State Navy. During a battle, the tugboat rams and sinks a German submarine. Most of the sailors on board the tugboat, including Captain Mike, die of wounds received from the battle.

In 1945, Benjamin comes back to New Orleans and meets his dying father. He reveals and lefts everything to his only son.
Benjamin meets Daisy, whom a famous ballet dancer. While he attends one of her performance in New York, Benjamin realizes that Daisy has fallen to her fellow dancer. Later, Daisy had a car accident and broke her leg, and ended her shinning carrier. Benjamin immediately fly to Paris to see Daisy, her first comment upon seeing Benjamin is "you're perfect" – referring to his youthful appearance – but she turns Benjamin away, telling him to get out of her life.

In 1962, Daisy returns to New Orleans and meets Benjamin again and falls in love. They have a perfect lives and while Daisy aging, Benjamin, in the other hand, is younger. And one day, after Daisy gives birth to their first daughter, Benjamin leaves her and their daughter, gives all his wealth to them, since he feels he will never be able to be a father with his never ending younger age.

Realizing that Benjamin is her father, Caroline become upset to her mother, later she finds postcards sent by her father every year and he writes how he feels about Caroline.
in 1980 Benjamin comes back for the last time, looks even younger and meets middle aged Daisy, at that moment, Daisy is married to a widower and Caroline is 12 years old. A few years later, someone called Daisy form a nursing house, and they shows her 10 years old boy, confused and remember nothing of his past. Daisy moves to the nursing house, taking care of Benjamin, growing younger, throwing tantrum, and finally died as an infant in Daisy's arm.

Comments:

While reading some newspaper, i had a good feeling about this movie, and last week i accidentally found it in my sister computer. The story is unusual, quite touching and very very long. He he he, it took me almost 3 hours to watch, and prepared to be very very bored if you don't like drama ^_^. But i think it's not really boring at all. To see Benjamin growing younger, is quite fascinating. And to see Daisy's never ending compassion was definitely touching ^_^

• Brad Pitt needs 5 hours make up session for his role in the movie
• Shiloh Jolie Pitt played as Benjamin and Daisy's daughter.

Synopsis:

Isabella Swan aka Bella (Kristen Stewart) moves from Arizona to a small city of Forks, and should live with his father, Charlie (Billy Burke) since her mother and her new husband are on a road trip. Bella captures guy's eyes on her first day at school, Mike newton is one of them, trying to get close to Bella but always being pushed away. Meeting The Cullens for the first time, Bella eyes are captured by Edward (Robert Pattinson), the gorgeus and mysterious guy. The first meeting leads to the other, in biology class, Bella sits next to Edward, but the boy's reaction is annoying. Edward seems very sick to see her and keeps his nose closed as tough smelling something gross, he left at once when the bell rings. Knowing that Edward is asking to change his class after the incident, strengthened Bella decision to confront him.
After days of dissapearence, Edward suddenly changed. He talks nicely to Bella during biology class and confused Bella. He even saves Bella which almost crashed by a slipped car, Bella is shocked to see that Edward moves very fast and stop the car with his bare hand.
On La Push trip Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) shows up and tell Bella about the old legend of werewolf. The curious girl is trying to know more, while shopping with her girlfriends, Bella meets a group of scums and out of nowhere, Edward shows up and save her. Having their first dinner together (and Edward eats nothing), Edward confess that he can read minds and the only thing he can't read is Bella's mind.
Bella confronts Edwards the next morning, after read the legend book, now she's aware that Edward is a vampire. But unlike other vampire, Edward and his family only drink animal blood and they consider themselves as "vegetarians". He moves very fast and strong. Edward also shows Bella why he avoids sun, by the time sun beam spot his pale skin, Edward is shinning like tons of diamonds. He said Bella's blood is very seductive, almost like a cocaine. And the fact that now he can not be parted from Bella is torching.
Edward introduces Bella to his family and surpraisingly everybody except Rosalie, welcome her, tough the children looks very hard to avoid Bella's seductive blood scent. Meanwhile people are died in the small city, and they have animal bite mark. Other vampires are in the town and they have spotted Bella. Now Edward and his family should save Bella from them

Comments:

This is the best movie i have seen this year ^_^. Not to mention that i always like drama, but though the movie supposed to be a teen movie, i still like it a lot. Two things i i love the most, they great story line and the amazing scenery ^_^. I really like the setting, the green forest, the glass house where The cullens live, and the sparkling Edward. They all gorgeous!
I don't like Robert Pattinson, and i hardly remember him as Cedric Gregory. But when he played Edward Cullen, he seems perfect tough i still not interested to him he he. What i can imagine of Edward Cullen is him, with his pale skin and his somehow strange face.
It's just perfect, a perfect love story and well...i don't have anything better to describe it, just go ahead and watch! I should find the books now

• Henry Cavill was the author first choice to play Edward. However, but by the time production was to begin, he was 25 years old, and no longer looked the part of a 17-year old. (too bad, he's gorgeous ^_^)

Synopsis:

Bu Mus (Cut Mini) and Pak Harfan (Ikranagara) are waiting anxiously for the 10th student in their poor school of SD Muhammadiyah. There are only 9 students registering, and they should have 10 students or the school is closed. A special student called Harun suddenly appear like magic and saving the school from a closure.

The ten students are studying passionately, regarding lacknesses they should face. And once the students are in action, they win best performance which is beyond anybody expectation and wipe all prominent schools in "Cerdas Cermat" math and science competition.

Ok, i tell you the truth i'm a big fans of Andrea Hirata's book (and i almost become his crazy fans, oh Lord please help me T_T). So it's not weird if i went to cinema instantly once i heard the movie was on air. Well, not that instantly but i was there, and this was one of my biggest achievement ho ho, too much, i know. Laskar Pelangi was my first Indonesian movie to watch this year, and as a matter a fact, this was the second i've seen in my entire life ha ha, surpraised? That's true, my first was Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, that was the time when i became very curious to that popular Indonesian film. And after that? Nothing else. I saw few Indonesian movies, but i watched them on TV, i did dont feel bother to rush to theater to see ^_^, don't blame me, not too many good Indonesian Movie, but Laskar Pelangi was quite Ok. I think Denias was better to watch but Laskar Pelangi was not that bad either. The book is better, maybe Riri should prolong the movie duration, so the book will nicely filmed ^_^. But anyway, it worth to see, once again not that i'm the big fans, but it's a nice movie ^_^

• I have to wait 3 weeks to avoid the crowd, but i still couldn't avoid it T_T
