Synopsis :

Using year 1920 as the story's backround, the film was telling about Kitty Garstin, a young and spoil woman of a british aristrocat family. First time meeting her future husband, Dr. Fane, an earnest, socially awkward bacteorologist in a party, Kitty amazed him and make the doctor fall in love at once. Kitty has no choice but to accept Dr. Fane proposal, they get married and move to Shanghai. The marriage which build with no love soon drown Kitty to bored and anger. Her love affair with a womanizer called Charles Townsend, a diplomat, was caught by Dr. Fane. He urge Kitty to choose to accompany him to the remote Chinesse village to assist with a cholera epidemic relief effort for which he has volunteered, or face a divorce on the grounds of her adultary. While being in the small village, facing death everywhere, that couple learn to forget the past mistake and built a new bound in their relationship.

Comments :

I was excited to see this movie. I never read the synopsis nor comments, but hey i have this strong feeling ^_^, i felt this is a good movie, and it was right ha ha ha ha. Naomi Watts played her part wonderfully, as a betrayal wife and then as a loving wife. But her potray as spoil and not very smart Kitty Garstin, was just the best. Edward Norton also played very good, his cool, akward, and silent character made me in love hue he he he he ^_^. Very cool.
As a drama lover, this is a good film for me, but for those whom dislike drama, this movie will be boring, since it is only talking, and talking. The girls who was sitting beside me was very irritable, annoying, she couldn't stop complain. Why didn't she leave if she hate the movie so much? What a crap. Well, if you want to see another love story, this movie is perfect for you. A recommended drama ^_^
